Easton, Mass.--  Franklin Pierce College junior Keith Renaud has been named as the 2007 American Baseball Coaches of America/Rawlings Division II Northeast Region Player of the Year, while Bryant University junior Eric Loh has been tabbed as the ABCA/Rawlings Division II Northeast Regional Pitcher of the Year.  The announcement came today from Patrick Boen, Head Baseball Coach at Stonehill College and the Northeast Regional chair of the ABCA Division II All-America Committee.

As winners of the regional awards, Renaud and Loh are both assured of spots on the 2007 ABCA/Rawlings Division II All-America team, which will be announced later this month.

Renaud, the 2007 Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year, is batting .359 with 80 hits, including nine doubles, one triple, six homers, and 39 RBI for the 2007 NCAA Division II Northeast Regional champion Ravens.  Renaud is also 6-2 on the mound with a 3.00 earned run average for Franklin Pierce, having fanned 84 batters in 63 innings pitched to date.

Loh, the 2007 Northeast-10 Conference Pitcher of the Year, posted an 8-3 mark with a 1.97 earned run average for the NCAA Division II Northeast Regional runner-up Bulldogs this spring, as he tossed three complete games in 12 starts while allowing just 19 earned runs in 86 2/3 innings of work.
