NEW CASTLE, DE – Wilmington University will host the upcoming Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Baseball Tournament later this week. The Wildcats enter the tournament as the third seed with a record of 15-12 in the CACC and an overall record of 24-27.
Dominican College (22-5/35-10) has earned the top seed in the tournament, and are currently the top ranked team in the East Region. Bloomfield College is the second seed, and enters the playoffs with a record of 15-12 in the conference and 18-24 overall. The fourth and final seed are the Nyack College Warriors, who come in with a 15-12 CACC record, and an overall mark of 19-15.
The tournament is scheduled to start on Thursday, May 7th at 12:00 PM, with the Wildcats taking on Felician College. Thursday's games will be played at Wilson Field on Route 13 (behind Price Toyota), while Friday and Saturday's games will be held at Frawley Stadium, home of the Wilmington Blue Rocks.
Admission will be charged for each day of the tournament. The fee will be $6 for adults, $3 for children, senior citizens, and students with ID. Children under the age of 3 will be admitted for free.
The tournament schedule and match-ups are below. It is a double-elimination format, and the winner of the tournament will receive the CACC's automatic bid to the NCAA East Regional Tournament.
