NEW CASTLE, Del. - - After winning the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament, the Wilmington University baseball team knew it would hear its name during the NCAA Selection Show, but wasn't sure who they'd be playing or where. It was announced the Wildcats will be the No. 2 seed and host the East 2 Pod at Wilson Field starting Thursday.
It is the 11th NCAA Division II East Regional Tournament for the Wildcats, starting with their first in 2007. It is the second time they will host a regional pod at Wilson Field. Division II went to the two bracket and Super Regional format starting with the 2019 season.
