NEWARK, Del. - - The NCAA put its Division II Baseball Regional Rankings in number order this week and the Wilmington University baseball team finds itself at No. 4, the first of four Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference teams.
The Wildcats headline four teams from the CACC, all in order. The Wildcats are fourth, followed by Felician, Jefferson, and Goldey-Beacom.
Molloy comes in as the top team in the East Region, followed by Bentley and Southern New Hampshire. Saint Anselm is the eighth and final team in the first ranked poll of the season. The committee will release a final ranking on May 6 with the selection show scheduled for Sunday, May 10.
The Wildcats head into postseason play with a 34-15 overall record, winning the CACC Regular Season title with a 25-8 conference record. They are the No. 1 seed and host No. 8 Bridgeport in the CACC First Round Best of Three series at Wilson Field. The opening two games of the series are set for Friday starting at 12:00 p.m.
The NCAA will announce the 56-team field for the 2026 Division II Baseball Championship on Sunday, May 10. The winner of the CACC Championship tournament will automatically qualify for the NCAA Tournament.
