WILMINGTON, Del. - - The Wilmington University golf team remains in second place after two rounds at the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship, hosted by Goldey-Beacom at the White Clay Creek Country Club.
On Tuesday, the Wildcats shot a 319 (+31) on Tuesday and are now four strokes off the leaders from Post. The third and final round of the 2025 CACC Championship is set for Tuesday morning.
Sophomore Noah Wallace also remains in second place in the individual race, two strokes off the top of the leaderboard currently held by Felician's Pablo Hidalgo. Both Wallace and Hidalgo shot rounds of 76 (+4) on Tuesday to keep the distance the same.
Wallace again led the Wildcats on Monday, shooting a 76 (+4). He was only one-over par on the front nine but then a bogey on 15 and a double on 16 put the sophomore at five-over par. He collected himself and finished the round with a birdie on the par four 18th, to get back within striking distance of Hidalgo.
Josh Freeman was second in the clubhouse for the Wildcats on Monday, posting a 79 (+7). He is now in 11th place overall with a 158 (+14). On Monday, Freeman had a birdie on the par five eighth to get back to three-over par and then another birdie on the par four 16th to get back to seven-over par for the day.
Sebastian Ramos and Will Finnerty each finished Monday with an 82 (+10), rounding out the Wildcats scoring for the day. Ramos is now in 14th place overall with a 161 (+17). His day started with a birdie on the par four second and he also had a birdie on the par five eighth, but made the turn at six-over par. He had six pars on the back nine, finishing with a bogey to settle his score at 82 (+10).
Finnerty is in 19th place overall after his 82 (+10), holding a 163 (+19) through two rounds. On Monday, he had three birdies in his round, but each birdie was followed by a negative hole. He birdied the par four fifth, the par five eighth and the par four 16th in his round.
Keegan Snyder rounded out the Wildcats on the course on Monday, shooting an 84 (+12) for the fay. He moved up two spots to 31st after two rounds with a 175 (+31). A birdie on the par five third got him back to even par on Monday while another birdie on the par five eighth brought him back to five-over par. He finished with six pars and two birdies in his round today.
Post continued to lead the tournament after its 318 (+30) on Monday. They are four strokes ahead of the Wildcats and 11 strokes ahead of Felician who is in third place overall.
The third and final round for the Wildcats will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, weather permitting. Frost and fog delayed the beginning of Monday's round, with the same weather expected for Tuesday morning as well.
