NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - For the third and final time this fall, Wilmington University sophomore Noah Wallace has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
Noah Wallace (Elkton, Md.) was named the CACC Golfer of the Week on September 10 and September 17 as well, making it the third time this season the sophomore has earned the weekly award.
The CACC Championship MVP won his second consecutive tournament this week, capturing the Metropolitan Intercollegiate Championships hosted by Wagner at the Montclair Golf Club in New Jersey.
Wallace shot a 72 (+2) in the first round on Monday, sitting in third place. He was then one-under through his first six holes on Tuesday, finishing the round with a 74 (+4), but moved into first on the leaderboard. He was tied with Seton Hall's Luke Nolan in first place and went back to the course to determine an overall winner. Wallace and Nolan went five playoff holes to determine a winner, and Wallace came out on top to claim medalist honors for the Metropolitan Intercollegiate Championship.
Noah Wallace is ranked No. 44 in the NCAA Division II according to Scoreboard Powered by Clippd and the only East Region player in the Top 225.
Wallace and the Wildcats will restart play in the spring, getting ready for the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Super Regional Tournament in May.
