NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - Wilmington University sophomore Josh Freeman has earned a spot on the 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Golf All-Academic Team, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must possess a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and be in his/her second year at his/her current institution. New for 2025-26, honorees must also either play in two-thirds of the team's tournaments or compete in the CACC Championship.
Josh Freeman (Middletown, Del.) finished his sophomore season by playing 30 rounds this year, going for a 75.8 adjusted scoring average according to Scoreboard Powered by Clippd. He finished ranked No. 20 in the East Region this season, winning the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartan Shootout in the spring.
All seven CACC institutions which sponsor men's golf were represented on the All-Academic Team. Felician University and Post University each placed four student-athletes on the list to tie for the league lead. Freeman is one of 16 student-athletes across the CACC on the All-Academic Team.
