Men’s Lacrosse Under Consideration in Initial NCAA DII Regional Rankings

NEWARK, Del. - - The NCAA announced its first round of official regional rankings for the 2025 men's lacrosse season and the Wilmington University Wildcats are one of 10 teams under consideration for the NCAA Tournament in May.

The NCAA DII Men's Lacrosse committee released its first set of regional rankings on Wednesday. Teams under consideration in each region were announced in alphabetical order. Ten teams were listed as under consideration in the North Region for the eight available berths. The committee will release its rankings in seed order on April 23 and 30, with the NCAA Selection Show set for May 4.

For the first time ever, the winner of the CACC Tournament will earn an automatic qualification into the NCAA Tournament. The CACC has never had a team reach the NCAA Tournament.

The Wildcats are 8-3, winning eight straight games since starting the season 0-3. The Wildcats are atop the CACC standings with a 6-0 record. They have two games left in the regular season, first against Caldwell on Tuesday, April 22. The opening face-off is set for 4:00 p.m. at the WU Athletics Complex.
