NEWARK, Del. - - The top six positions remained the same as the NCAA released another regional poll on Wednesday, as the Wilmington University men's lacrosse team stayed at No. 6 in the North Region.
Through games played April 27, the Wildcats are 10-3 overall and 10-2 against in-region opponents. They picked up another victory on Wednesday in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament Semifinal and are 11-3 overall going into the CACC Tournament Championship on Saturday.
The top six spots remained the say with Saint Anselm leading the way. Adelphi, Pace, Seton Hill, Molloy, and Wilmington all stayed the same in this week's rankings. Bentley moved up a spot to No. 7, as did Mercy up to No. 8. Assumption dropped two spots to No. 9 while Georgian Court remained at No. 10 in this week's poll.
The Wildcats and Georgian Court play on Saturday in the CACC Tournament Final with the winner earning the conference's automatic qualification into the NCAA North Region Tournament.
The NCAA will announce the field of 16 on Sunday, May 4, with the NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Selection Show on NCAA.com.
