Tyler Quinn Named Third Team USILA All-American to Lead Five From Men’s Lacrosse

NEWARK, Del. - - The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) released its Division II All-American Teams and the Wilmington University men's lacrosse team placed one student-athlete on Third Team and had four named as honorable mention.

Junior standout Tyler Quinn was named a Third Team All-American as a short stick defensive midfielder while Carter Earl. Connor Widmer, Andrew Dzubak, and Paul Army were honored at Honorable Mention All-Americans.

These five Wildcats join a list of five previous Wildcats that have earned All-American status, starting with Logan Stinson as the first in the 2022 season.

Tyler Quinn (Barnegat, N.J.) was a First Team All-CACC member as well. He finished second on the team with 78 ground balls, scooping up loose balls on both face-offs and defensively. He also had 10 caused turnovers on the year, turning them into odd-man rushes the other way. He scored seven goals and added two assists on the year, mainly in transition. He scored three goals against Caldwell on Senior Day and had a season high 10 ground balls in the CACC Tournament Semifinal against Post.

Carter Earl (Penn Yan, N.Y.) was a First Team All-CACC performer for the Wildcats, finishing second on the team with 43 points. He scored 24 goals while adding a team second best 19 assists in 16 games. He also added 26 ground balls and had seven caused turnovers as well. He had a season high six points against Holy Family, scoring five goals and an assist. He scored two goals and had two assists in the CACC Tournament Semifinal against Post and a goal and two assists in the NCAA Tournament at Seton Hill.

Connor Widmer (Warwick, R.I.) took over primary face-off duties on March 1 against Pace and never gave it up. He led the CACC with a .664 faceoff win percentage, going 184-for-277. He went even better in CACC play, going 115-for-165 for a .697 win percentage at the spot. He also led the team with 83 ground balls this year, adding one assist and one caused turnover. He went 23-for-28 in faceoffs at Georgian Court, 12-of-14 against Caldwell, and an impressive 13-for-23 at Seton Hill who was named the First Team All-Region face-off honoree.

Andrew Dzubak (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) was named a Third Team All-Region performer by the USILA. He was the CACC Player of the Year after closing out the season in tremendous fashion. He led the team with 54 goals and 28 assists for 82 points. He set a single-game record with 12 points against Caldwell, scoring seven goals and adding five assists. In his final four games of the regular season, Dzubak had 35 points, scoring 22 goals and 13 assists.

Paul Army (Middletown, Del.) was the CACC Defensive Player of the Year for the Wildcats, anchoring a unit that only allowed 9.00 goals per game. He finished fourth on the team with 38 ground balls and second overall with 24 caused turnovers. He had a season high four ground balls twice and three caused turnovers in three games.
