Six Men’s Lacrosse Standouts Named to CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team

NEWARK, Del. - - The College Sports Communicators announced its 2026 Academic All-District At-Large Team, and six Wilmington University men's lacrosse student-athletes were recognized as some of the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Representing the Wilmington University men's lacrosse team on the CSC Academic All-District Team are seniors Patrick Crutchfield, Kyle Parker, and Gunner Settar, and juniors Daniel Flynn, Brendan Macdonell, and Max Runcer. The six Wildcats represent the most among Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference programs and are among 40 total CACC student-athletes.

To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District nomination, the student-athlete must excel in both the field of play and the classroom. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, AND compete in 90 percent of the institution's games or start in at least 66 percent of the games, along with several other criteria. CACC championship sports eligible for the At-Large Teams include men's golf, women's bowling and men's and women's lacrosse.

Patrick Crutchfield (Smyrna, Del.) appeared in all 17 games for the Wildcats as a senior. He finished the year with 11 caused turnovers and eight ground balls. He is carrying a 3.89 cumulative GPA while earning his degree in health sciences.

Kyle Parker (Hamilton, New Zealand) led the Wildcats with 19 assists this season, adding 11 goals to finish sixth on the team with 30 points. Parker also added 21 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers. Parker graduated with a 3.97 grade point average while studying for a degree in health sciences.

Gunner Settar (Baltimore, Md.) played in 16 games on defense this season, finishing fifth on the team with 14 caused turnovers. The long pole defender also scooped up 27 ground balls and had an assist on the year. The graduate student has a 3.85 cumulative GPA while pursuing his masters in homeland security.

Daniel Flyn (New York, N.Y.) was the last line of defense for the Wildcats, starting all 17 games in goal as a junior. The Wildcats were fourth in all of NCAA DII in only allowing 7.65 goals per game with Flynn ranking fifth in the country at 8.04 per game. He finished the year with 139 saves with a .527 save percentage as well. He is carrying a 3.87 cumulative GPA while pursuing his degree in business.

Brendan Macdonell (Winnipeg, Manitoba) appeared in 16 games on defense for the Wildcats, finishing third on the team with 19 caused turnovers. The CACC Top XVI Award winner added 13 ground balls as well. He has a perfect 4.0 grade point average while pursuing his degree in business management.

Max Runcer (Edmonton, Alberta) played all 17 games in his first season with the Wildcats, finishing eight on the team with 16 points. He scored seven goals while adding nine assists, chipping in with 20 ground balls and two caused turnovers as well. He has a 3.96 cumulative grade point average while earning his degree in interdisciplinary studies.

The 2026 CSC Academic All-America At-Large Team will be announced on Wednesday, July 8.
