VIDEO: Men's Lacrosse vs. Caldwell
A first-half scoring barrage powered #WilmUMLax to a 30-1 victory over Caldwell at the WU Athletics Complex on Wednesday in the first CACC matchup of the year for either team. Wilmington's goal scoring was fast and furious in the opening 30 minutes, as they scored 10 times in the first quarter and 13 in the second. The Wildcats had 15 different goal scorers in the contest, led by Kyle Parker's four, while Andrew Dzubak, Carter Barrie, Josh Lovely, and Cole Heinold each recorded a hat trick. Brian McGarvey and Connor Widmer each scooped up seven ground balls, and Aiden Vicidomini was right behind them with six. Cole Heinold recorded four ground balls to lead non-faceoff players. The three faceoff men were stellar, combining to go 31-for-34. Vicidomini was a perfect 10-for-10, Widmer went 11-for-13, and McGarvey went 10-for-11. The 31 faceoffs won are a new single-game record for the Wildcats, beating out their performance in last year's game against Dominican by one. Produced by Kara Guno and Nathan Foltz.
