NEWARK, Del. - - Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference members Post University and Wilmington University are under consideration for the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship tournament, the NCAA D-II Men's Soccer Committee announced on Wednesday.
The committee released its first set of regional rankings for all four NCAA Division II super-regions on Wednesday. Teams under consideration in each super-region were announced in alphabetical order. Twelve teams were listed as under consideration in Super-Region 1, including the Eagles and Wildcats. The committee will release rankings in rank order on November 5 and 12.
Post owns an overall won-lost-tied record of 6-0-7. The Eagles are in first place in the CACC with a 5-0-4 league mark (19 points). Post is ranked No. 4 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches East Region poll and has received votes nationally.
Wilmington (9-2-4, 4-2-3) is in second place in the CACC with 15 points and is ranked seventh regionally by United Soccer Coaches. The Wildcats have been ranked as high as No. 16 in the country in Division II this season.
The NCAA will announce the 40-team field for the 2025 Division II Men's Soccer Championship on Monday, November 17. Super-Region 1 will receive automatic qualifiers from the CACC, East Coast Conference, Mountain East Conference, Northeast 10 Conference, and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, plus five at-large berths.
