NEWARK, Del. - - A pair of Wilmington University softball standouts have picked up postseason accolades as Addison Sabo and Maddie Vollmar have been selected National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Second Team All-East Region for their performances throughout the 2026 season.

It is the second year in a row that Maddie Vollmar (Thornton, Colo.) has been named Second Team NFCA All-Region while Addison Sabo (Bethlehem, Pa.) picks up the All-Region award in her first season as a collegiate student-athlete. Both standouts wee name First Team All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) as well.

Addison Sabo led the Wildcats with a .387 batting average, collecting 48 hits with eight doubles, a triple, and two homers. She was second on the team with 24 RBI while leading the squad with 12 stolen bases and 28 runs scored. The freshman outfielder had a slash line of .387/.433/.516 for a 0.949 OPS.

Maddie Vollmar performed double duty for the Wildcats, playing outfield and pitching to earn Second Team All-Region as a utility-pitcher. Vollmar was fourth on the team with a .336 batting average, collecting 37 hits with a team leading 10 doubles and seven triples, hitting five homers and leading the team with 28 RBI. She was second in the CACC with a a.691 slugging percentage and fifth overall with a 1.083 OPS. In the circle, the sophomore finished 6-11 with a 4.57 ERA, striking out 64 batters in 95 innings.

The Wildcats finished 22-28 overall on the season, going 10-8 in CACC play to be the No. 5 seed. They defeated No. 4 Holy Family in the CACC Tournament First Round, advancing to the double-elimination portion of the CACC Tournament on their home field at Asbury Field.
