After 15 seasons as a part of the Wilmington University baseball team, Rich Groff enters his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Wildcats softball team. Groff works with teh infielders and is the team's third base coach.
Coach Groff was a member of the 2000 Region X Championship baseball team at Wilmington University during his senior season. Following that season he was named as an Honorable Mention All-American and led the team in innings pitched and was second in wins.
Groff played his first two seasons at Cecil Community College and came to Wilmington for the 1999 season. During his career he compiled a 26-13 record.
He currently works in the University's athletics department as an athletics grounds assistant.
Coach Groff resides in Bear with his wife Kelly and son Owen (9).
