Track and Field Teams Place Fourth Overall; Five Crowned CACC Champion

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - - The Wilmington University men's and women's track and field teams completed the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships on Saturday, each finishing in fourth place at the Georgian Court University Track and Field Complex.

The men had three individual CACC Champions on Saturday while the women picked up one more CACC Champion. The women earned 79.50 points to land in fourth place, just two points behind Goldey-Beacom in third. The men earned 107 points to place fourth overall.

The women were led by Sytieia Brown's first place finish in the shot put on Saturday, setting a school record with a toss of 13.41 meters. She beat the field by 1.16 meters, bringing 10 points to the team. She also finished second in the discus, setting another school with a toss of 42.26 meters. She missed the top spot by only 0.40 meters, earning the team eight more points. She earned Second Team All-CACC for her second-place finish.

Tiffany Banning picked up another Second Team All-CACC award for placing second in the 5000-meter run, finishing in 19:44.46 to bring the team eight more points.

Temi Mustapha finished on the podium in the 100-meter race, placing third overall with a time of 12.69 seconds for six points. She also anchored the 4x100-meter relay team to a third place finish, as Deja Curry, Eliza Hildreth, Cadance Bell, and Mustapha got the baton around the track in 49.37 seconds.

The men had three winners on Saturday, with TJ Taiwo in the 110m hurdles, Donte Dockery in the triple jump, and the 4x100-meter relay team.

TJ Taiwo won the 110-meter hurdles race with a time of 14.71 second, beating two from Holy Family for 10 points. Spencer Bradley added four points in the same event, finishing fifth overall with a time of 15.49 seconds.

Donte Dockery continued to dominate the triple jump, winning the event for 10 more team points. He had a day's best 14.94 meters to win by 0.32 meters.

The 4x100-meter relay team captured the title as well, as Rayhan Issah, Rob Powell, Eijah Gillis, and Bradley Spencer got the baton around the track in 42.07 seconds.

TJ Taiwo also earned Second Team All-CACC in the 400m hurdles, finishing in second place with a time of 54.41 seconds for eight more points. Bradley Spencer finishing seventh overall with a time of 57.55 in the same event, scoring two points.

Trent Taylor earned a Second Team All-CACC award in the 5000-meter race, running to a second-place finish with a time of 15:52.41 for eight points. Carter Sparwasser placed fifth in the event for four points while Daniel Wyshinski placed ninth.

Felician won the women's meet going away, scoring 222 points to beat Holy Family who had 96 points. Goldey-Beacom won the men's meet with 127 team points, narrowly defeating Georgian Court who finished with 125 points.

The Wildcats continue with postseason play in two weeks, traveling to George Mason to compete in the IC4A/ECAC Championships on Saturday, May 17.
