NEW ORLEANS, La. - - All-Region honors for the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season were announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season. The Wilmington University men's and women's track and field team boasts eight All-Region honors between the two programs.
Top 5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top 3 ranked relay team.
A pair of freshmen led the Wildcats in All-Region honors, as women's standout Sytieia Brown earned three All-Region honors while men's standout TJ Taiwo took home two All-Region honors. Tiffany Banning, Tyler Levons, and Donte Dockery all added All-Region accolades in single events as well.
Sytieia Brown's rookie campaign was one for the record books for the Wildcats, setting school records in all three throws. She finished third in the East Region in the shot put with a season's best toss of 13.41 meters, winning the CACC Championship. She finished fourth in the East Region in the hammer throw with a season's best throw of 50.03 meters at the Delaware Invitational. She also won the CACC Championship in the hammer throw. She also ranks fifth in the East Region in the discus with a season's best toss of 42.26 meters at the CACC Championships, placing second overall.
TJ Taiwo also had a season for the record books in his rookie campaign, earning All-Region in both the 110-meter and 400-meter hurdles. He set a school record in the 110-meter hurdles, running to a tune of 14.63 seconds at The Trojan Relays, ranking fifth in the East Region. He won the CACC Championship in the 110-meter hurdle event with a time of 14.71 seconds as well. He also ranks fourth in the East Region in the 400-meter hurdles, running a season's best 54.41 seconds at the CACC Championships to finish second overall.
Tyler Levons set a school record in the 100-meter sprint at the Delaware Invitational, the fifth fastest time in the East Region.
Donte Dockery led the East Region in the triple jump, winning every meet he entered in throughout the season. His jump of 15.37 meters at the Danny Curran Invite was his regular season best before going for a new school record of 16.19 meters to finish third at the NCAA National Championships. He also won the CACC Championship, the Penn Relays, and the IC4A/ECAC Championship in the event.
Tiffany Banning ran the second fastest 10,000-meter race in the East Region this year, earning All-Region in the event. At the Danny Curran Invite, she set a school record with a time of 38:52.95. She finished second in the same event at the CACC Championships.
Both the men's and women's track and field teams earned a fourth-place finish at the CACC Championships this season.
