NEW ORLEANS, La. - - All-America honors for the 2025 NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field season were announced on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). With his third place finish at NCAA Championships, Donte Dockery earned First Team All-American, the first in Wilmington University track and field program history.

Student-athletes earned First-Team USTFCCCA All-American honors by virtue of finishing among the top-eight in their respective events – including as a member of a relay team – at the 2025 NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Championships this past weekend in Pueblo, Colorado.

Second-team selections were given to those athletes who finished in spots Nos. 9-12 in individual events. Ninth and tenth-place relay teams also earned the distinction.

Donte Dockery qualified 16th out of the 22 jumpers the NCAA took to Nationals. He hung onto the ninth and final spot to qualify for the Finals of the triple jump with a leap of 15.67 meters. Down to his last attempt, Dockery came away with a school record jump of 16.19 meters, launching him into second place with a handful of jumpers remaining. Washburn's Justin Forde tied Dockery with a jump of 16.19 meters and held the tiebreak over Dockery with his second-best jump of 16.14 meters earlier in the series, pushing Dockery to third overall.

Dockery led the East Region in the triple jump, winning every meet he entered in throughout the season. His jump of 15.37 meters at the Danny Curran Invite was his regular season best before going for a new school record of 16.19 meters to finish third at the NCAA National Championships. He also won the CACC Championship, the Penn Relays, and the IC4A/ECAC Championship in the event.

It is the first time a Wildcat has ever appeared at the NCAA Championships, let alone made their way onto the podium. The Wilmington track and field program began in spring 2018.
