Track and Field Claims Three Titles as Wildcats Compete at 2026 CACC Championships

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - - The men's and women's track and field teams competed at the 2026 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships this past weekend on the campus of Georgian Court University. The men finished third overall with 103 points while the women finished sixth overall with 48 points.

Georgian Court won both sides of the championships on Saturday, as the women claimed 147 points to defeat Goldey-Beacom (129 points) while the men picked up 179 points to defeat Holy Family (113 points).

On the men's side, the Wildcats had two event champions, as Julian Rich won the 3000-meter steeplechase and Donte Dockery won the triple jump. The Wildcats also had four second-place finishers, earning All-Conference. Xavier Bin-Yusif finished second in the 100-meter race while Irvin Marable III was second in the 800-meter and 400-meter hurdle events. And the 4x100-meter relay team also placed second. The first and second place finishers in each event are named First and Second Team All-CACC, respectively.

Donte Dockery set a new CACC Championship meet record in the triple jump, breaking his own mark he set last year. His new meet record is now 15.07 meters, earning the team 10 points. Julian Rich set a new season's best mark in the 3000-meter steeplechase, beating five other competitors to win the meet with a time of 10:15.17, earning the team 10 points.

Xavier Bin-Yusif qualified third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.06 seconds, but then kicked it into gear in the finals, running 10.85 to finish second and earn eight points. Irvin Marable III set a school record while placing second in the 800-meter run, crossing the line in 1:55.94 for eight points. He then competed in the 400-meter hurdles, qualifying first with a time of 54.96, and although he ran faster, finished second in the finals with a time of 54.55, a season's best for the Wildcats. The 4x100-meter relay team was just .02 seconds from crossing the line first, as Elijah Gillis, Donte Dockery, Xavier Bin-Yusif, and Jaden Williams settled for second with a time of 41.88 for 8 team points as well.

Julian Jones placed third overall in the 10,000-meter race for six points while Christian Dollard finished third in the hammer for six more points. Donte Dockery also had a fourth place finish in the long jump.

On the women's side, the Wildcats had one all-conference performer, as Sytieia Brown won the shot put competition. She had a throw of 12.52m for a new season's best this year, earning he team 10 points. Brown also finished third in the hammer and fourth in the discus for 11 more points.

Angie Chomo continues to lower her own school record in the 3000-meter steeplechase, finishing in 12:27.52 for a fourth place finish and five points towards the team.

Three Wildcats set new season's best in the 5000-meter event, as Tiffany Banning finished fifth overall with a time of 19:47.00 for four points. Maddie Minnick placed seventh overall for two points with a season's best time of 20:08.17 while Angie Chomo ran it in 20:09.20 for eighth place and another Wilmington point.
