NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has named 24 men and 39 women to its 2026 Track & Field All-Academic Teams, CACC Commissioner Dan Mara announced today. The 63 athletes recognized come from all 10 conference members which sponsor the sport.
To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must possess a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and be in his/her second year at his/her current institution. New for 2025-26, honorees must also either meet a CACC Championship qualifying standard or compete in the CACC Championship meet.
The Wilmington University track and field team had four of the seven perfect GPA's in the CACC among the two sports. Carter Sparwasser was the lone representative on the men's team, being one of the four with a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average. Female student-athletes Amy Chomo, Angie Chomo, and Maddie Minnick were three of five women to have a perfect 4.0 in the CACC. Tiffany Banning is the fourth female for the Wildcats to earn a spot with a 3.97 undergraduate cumulative GPA and a perfect 4.0 GPA so far in graduate school.
Georgian Court University led the conference with seven men's honorees. Thomas Jefferson University placed a CACC-high eight student-athletes on the women's list. Combined, Georgian Court and Jefferson claimed 12 honorees each to tie for the top figure in the league. The complete sets of winners can be viewed at the links above.
Caldwell University's Jakub Sobura-Durma and Wilmington University's Carter Sparwasser own perfect 4.00 undergraduate GPAs, the only males on this year's list to accomplish that feat. They are joined by five such females – Georgian Court's Sabrina Halk, Jefferson's Sydney Huynh, and Amy Chomo, Angie Chomo, and Maddie Minnick of Wilmington.
The CACC All-Academic Team was instituted during the 2004-05 academic year.
