NEWARK, Del. - - A big second quarter separated Millersville from the Wilmington University women's basketball team on Friday afternoon, as the Marauders went on to win, 77-49, at the WU Athletics Complex.

Wilmington (0–10) held its own in the opening quarter, trading early baskets and grabbing a 12–11 lead late in the frame behind tough interior play from Emma Brown and Armani Bell-Jackson. Brown anchored the Wildcats with an all-around performance, finishing with her second straight double-double with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocks—one of the most complete stat lines of the afternoon from either team.

The Wildcats continued to compete on the boards, finishing with 44 rebounds, including 15 on the offensive glass. Mya Nisbet (six rebounds, four assists) and Reynah Rattliff (10 points) added key production in the backcourt, while TyKeisha Hill provided a lift in the paint, scoring 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting.

Millersville (3–3) used a big second quarter—shooting 11-of-16 in the period—to create separation it would maintain throughout the second half. Despite Wilmington's defensive energy and improved shot creation after halftime, the Marauders' efficient perimeter play made the difference. They finished the game by shooting 10-of-23 from beyond the three-point arc, hitting five of them in the second quarter alone.

The Marauders are the NCAA DII leaders in attacking the offensive glass, averaging more than 19 offensive rebounds a game. They were right at their number of 19, but the Wildcats held them to only eight second-chance points in the game. The Wildcats rank 19th in NCAA DII in offensive rebounding, grabbing 15 more today.

Armani Bell-Jackson added nine points for Wilmington, while Samiyah McFarlane had a bucket with three rebounds and three assists.

The Wildcats are home one more time prior to the Holiday Break, hosting West Chester on Tuesday night. The opening tip against the Golden Rams is slated for 6:00 p.m. at the WU Athletics Complex.
