NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - For the first time in her career, Wilmington University senior bowler Genna Closs has been named to the 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Conference Teams, earning a Second Team nod, as announced by the conference office.
Genna Closs (Brookhaven, Pa.) led the Wildcats back to the CACC Tournament this year, earning the No. 4 seed. The senior had a season's best 6th place finish during traditional play twice this year, bowling an individual best 245 game in the CACC Meet 2. She bowled a season's best 1,006 five-game total during the Wildcat DII-DII Invite.
On the season, Gloss finished ninth in the CACC with an overall frame average of 18.26. She was eighth overall in Baker play with a frame average of 18.48 while ranking ninth in traditional play with a 17.97 frame average. She also finished ninth overall in the CACC in the Player Composite Performance Index (PCPI) with a 69.303 percent.
Closs put down all 10 pins 321 times this year, leading the Wildcats with a 39.2 strike percentage ranking 10th in the CACC. She also converted 62.4 percent of her spares this year.
Dominican's Kyra Walter backed her 2024-25 CACC Rookie of the Year award up with a 2025-26 CACC Bowler of the Year award. Felician's Olivia Salvator was this year's CACC Rookie of the Year while Caldwell's coach Ken Yokobosky was named the Athletic Solutions Coach of the Year. Chestnut Hill and Felician split the 2025-26 CACC Team Sportsmanship Award this year to wrap up the major award winners.
