NEW CASTLE, DE -- Wilmington University is pleased to announce that the women's lacrosse duo of Danielle Niccoli (Kenwood HS/Sparrows Point, MD) and Jess Graybleal (Havre de Grace HS/Havre de Grace, MD) have been named to the 2011 USA College Lacrosse Women's Division II All-American Third Team for their performances this past season. Liz Case (Mercy HS/Perry Hall, MD) and junior Eliza Burk (Perry Hall HS/Perry Hall, MD) were named to the honorable mention team.
Niccoli, a senior midfielder, was a First-Team All-CACC selection after leading the Wildcats in almost every offensive category. She notched a team high 55 goals and 69 assists and led the team with 49 draw controls and 28 ground balls, while dishing out 14 assists. Niccoli, the 2010 CACC Player of the Year, earned All-Conference honors three times during her career.
Graybeal, a junior defender, was named to the All-CACC First Team, after garnering a second team nod in 2010. She made the move to defense this season, anchoring the Wildcat back line.
Case, a sophomore midfielder, finished second on the team with 44 points, including 21 goals and a team-high 23 assists.
Burk, a junior midfielder/defender, was second on the team in goals (27), ground balls (27), draw controls (32), while finishing third on the team in points (38) and assists (11).
The four become the first All-Americans in program history, and joined 19 other Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference players to earn the honor.
