Women’s Lacrosse Under Consideration in Initial NCAA Regional Rankings

NEWARK, Del. - - The NCAA has released its initial Division II Women's Lacrosse Regional Rankings and the Wilmington University women's lacrosse team is under consideration to be a part of the postseason tournament.

The committee released its first set of regional rankings for all four NCAA Division II regions on Wednesday. Teams under consideration in each region were announced in alphabetical order. Eight teams were listed as under consideration in the East Region, including three teams from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (Dominican, Jefferson, and Wilmington), for the six available berths. The committee will release rankings in rank order on April 22 and 29.

The Wildcats roll into this weekend's action with a 12-2 overall record, sitting with a 4-2 mark in the CACC with their only losses to Dominican and Jefferson. The Wildcats have three games left in the regular season, starting with an away game at Felician on Saturday.

The NCAA will announce the 24-team field for the 2025 Division II Women's Lacrosse Championship on Sunday, May 3. The winner of the CACC Championship tournament will automatically qualify for the NCAA Tournament.
