NEWARK, Del. - - The Wilmington University women's lacrosse team remains at No. 5 in the final NCAA Division II East Region Poll prior to the Selection Show this weekend.
The only flip in this week's Top 8 came at the top, as Adelphi jumped Pace for the top spot. Pace is now No. 2 in this week's poll with the rest of the six teams remaining in the same order as last week.
The Wildcats are once again one of three teams from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference in this week's poll with Dominican leading the pack at No. 4. Wilmington remains at No. 5 while Jefferson remains at No. 7.
All three teams are still standing in the CACC Tournament, with Wilmington taking on Jefferson in the semifinal round on Thursday. The winners of the semifinal games will meet at the WU Athletics Complex on Saturday for the championship. The opening draw is set for 2:00 p.m. in Newark, Delaware.
The NCAA will announce the 24-team field for the 2026 Division II Women's Lacrosse Championship, including six from the East Region, on Sunday, May 3 at 8:30 p.m. on ncaa.com. The winner of the CACC Championship tournament will automatically qualify for the NCAA Tournament.
