NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - Sixty-three student-athletes have qualified for the 2026 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Lacrosse All-Academic Team, CACC Commissioner Dan Mara announced today.

To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must possess a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and be in his/her second year at his/her current institution. New for 2025-26, honorees must also either compete in at least two-thirds of their team's games or start at least half.

The Wilmington University women's lacrosse team paced the CACC with a league high 10 student-athletes on the team. The Wildcats were led by CACC Top XVII Award winner Allison Schiavone with a perfect 4.00 grade point average. The Wildcats also had seniors Michaella Cook (3.55), Anastasia Giannoulis (3.63), Alea Javorowsky (3.74), and Ella Royer (3.63) make the team. Juniors Sophie Shive (3.93), and Caitlyn Welker (3.97), as well as sophomores Mia Bucs (3.87), Ashleigh Lawrey (3.80), and Kyla Stasium (3.56) were also standouts on the field and in the classroom for the Wildcats.

CACC champion Wilmington University topped the conference with 10 honorees. Georgian Court University placed eight players on the list. The complete set of winners can be viewed at the link above.

Allison Schiavone of Wilmington owns a perfect 4.00 GPA. She heads a group of 13 student-athletes on the list who maintain an undergraduate GPA of 3.90 or higher.

The CACC All-Academic Team was instituted during the 2004-05 academic year. Women's lacrosse became a conference championship sport in 2009.
