NEW HAVEN, Conn. – After going a combined 4-0 last week, the Wilmington University men's and women's soccer teams earned four players as Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Players of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday.

Men's Soccer's Shawn Genus was named CACC Co-Player of the Week while teammate Joe Bell was named CACC Defensive Player of the Week. On the women's side, Lina Boussif earned CACC Defensive Player of the Week, as Emily Camp picked up Co-Goalkeeper of the Week.

For the first time this season, Shawn Genus (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) earned CACC Co-Player of the Week after scoring three goals in two games, along with dishing out two assists for eight points. Genus started the week off with one goal and one assist in the Wildcats 9-0 shutout over Chestnut Hill, including a penalty kick goal in the 43nd minute of play. In the Wildcats 6-2 win over Nyack, the junior midfielder scored twice, while setting up teammate Abdul Mansaray for his second assist. He finished the week out with 2.5 shots per game, 4.00 points per game, and a .600 shot on goal percentage. Genus is currently tied for second in the CACC with teammate Fredrik Bentdal with eight assists, while sitting fifth in the league with nine goals. He is also one of three Wildcats in the top five in points, ranking fourth with 26 on the season.

Joe Bell (Epson, England) earned CACC Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this year. Bell scored two goals on two shots for four points throughout the week. He scored his first of the week in the 30th minute against Chestnut Hill to start the scoring for WilmU, before following up with another goal in the 89th minute to give the Wildcats a 9-0 lead. The defenseman has been a key player on the back line for the Wildcats this season, as he is the fifth Wildcat to round out the Top 10 in goals in the CACC with six. He also ranks 14th in the conference with 13 points on the season.

Lina Bousiff (Strasbourg, France) earned CACC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her senior season. The defenseman helped the Wildcats to a 2-0 week after dishing out an assist to Rockesha Dayes in the 84th minute for the game winning goal. In the Wildcats 3-0 shutout over Chestnut Hill, she had a chance to increase the Wildcats lead in the 58th minute, but a left footed shot from outside the top of the box would hit the crossbar. Boussif finished out the week playing 107 minutes with .50 assists and points per game.

Emily Camp (Pittsgrove, N.J.) notched her second CACC Co-Goalkeeper of the Week for the season. The red shirt sophomore made seven saves in the net for the Wildcats, including four in Wilmington's 3-0 shutout over Chestnut Hill. In the Wildcats 2-1 win over Nyack, Camp made her third save in the net in the 61st minute to keep it a tied game at 1-1. Throughout the two games, she had a .875 save percentage while allowing only one goal in 161:34 minutes played.
