Women’s Soccer Holds at No. 4 in Latest United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll

NEWARK, Del. - - The Wilmington University women's soccer team remains at No. 4 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division II East Region Poll, as the top six stay the same following its release on Tuesday.

The Wildcats went 2-0 last week, defeating Holy Family and Caldwell to improve to 8-2-0 and 5-0-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.

The top six of Adelphi, Southern New Hampshire, Franklin Pierce, Wilmington, Jefferson, and Saint Anselm all stayed the same this week. Saint Michael's moved up two spots to No. 7 while Assumption dropped a spot to No. 8 and Bentley dropped a spot to No. 9. Georgian Court entered the poll at No. 10 this week.

After the poll was announced the Wildcats dropped a tough 1-0 decision to No. 10 Georgian Court on Wednesday afternoon. The Wildcats are now 8-3-0 overall, 5-1-0 in CACC play.

The Wildcats have this weekend off and return to game action next Thursday afternoon when they welcome Jefferson to the WU Athletics Complex for another regionally ranked matchup. The opening kick-off is set for 3:30 p.m.
