NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - Another undefeated weekend produces two more Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Players of the Week for the Wilmington University women's soccer team on Monday, as announced by the conference office.
For the second week in a row, freshman forward Eboni Bradshaw (Manchester, England) has been named the CACC Rookie of the Week while freshman teammate Indigo Kirk (Auckland, New Zealand) was named the CACC Defensive Player of the Week. The pair helped the Wildcats to a 1-0-1 weekend, tying Saint Anselm, 1-1, before defeating Southern New Hampshire, 3-2.
Eboni Bradshaw scored a goal in each game, giving the Wildcats a 1-0 lead against the Hawks on Friday. She then scored the first goal in a comeback victory over Southern New Hampshire, making it a 2-1 game in the 35th minute. She now has three goals and an assist for seven points on the season. It is the second straight week Bradshaw has been named the CACC Rookie of the Week.
Indigo Kirk played all 180 minutes over the weekend at left back, helping the team to a 1-0-1 record. She helped the back line to only allow one goal against Saint Anselm on Friday and then scored the game-tying goal against Southern New Hampshire on Sunday in the 50th minute.
The Wildcats begin Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play this week, welcoming Holy Family to the WU Athletics Complex on Tuesday afternoon. The opening whistle is set for 4:00 p.m.
