Four Wildcats Named CACC Players of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference released its weekly reports, and four Wilmington University student-athletes were honored as CACC Players of the Week.

Women's soccer continues to perform on the field and Eboni Bradshaw was named the CACC Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season. Teammate Arianna Myers was also named the CACC Goalkeeper of the Week. Julian Jones led the men's cross country team in Kentucky last week to be named the CACC Runner of the Week again and Molly Carlberg paced the women's tennis team last week, being named the CACC Player of the Week on the court.

Eboni Bradshaw (Manchester, England) recorded her first hat trick of her collegiate career on Saturday, scoring three goals and adding an assist against Lincoln University. She now leads the CACC with eight goals and 21 points so far this season. Goalkeeper Arianna Myers (Monroeville, N.J.) anchored the Wildcats defense against nationally ranked No. 12 Jefferson in the midweek game. She recorded eight saves in a 0-0 shutout, earning the CACC Goalkeeper of the Week award.

Julian Jones (Elkton, Md.) again led the Wildcats on the course, this time in Louisville, Kentucky, as he competed in the jam-packed Louisville Classic. He placed eighth overall out of 417 finishers in the second of three tiers at the Louisville Classic. He ran the 8K in 25:18.6 to place inside the Top 10.

Molly Carlberg (Vadstena, Sweden) led the Wildcats on the tennis courts, helping the team to a 2-0 week last week. She won all four of her matches last week, helping to defeat Dominican and Chestnut Hill. She won at No. 3 double (6-0) and No. 2 singles (6-3 and 6-0) against Dominican and then stepped up with win at No. 1 doubles (6-3) and No. 1 singles (6-1 and 6-4) against Chestnut Hill.

The Wildcats also had five players place on their respective Weekly Honor Rolls for their play last week as well. Addison Hoover led the volleyball team with her all-around game to land on the Weekly Honor Roll. Skyler Pearson and Carter Sparwasser ran well out at the Louisville Classic to earn a spot, as did Sammy and Tiffany Banning on the women's side.
