Women’s Soccer Listed in Initial 2025 NCAA DII East Region Rankings

NEWARK, Del. - - Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference members Thomas Jefferson University and Wilmington University are under consideration for the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship tournament, the NCAA D-II Women's Soccer Committee announced Wednesday.

The committee released its first set of regional rankings for all eight NCAA Division II regions on Wednesday. Teams under consideration in each region were announced in alphabetical order. Eight teams were listed as under consideration in the East Region, including the Rams and Wildcats, for the six available berths. The committee will release rankings in rank order on November 5 and 12.

Jefferson, with an 11-1-1 overall won-lost-tied record, sits in a tie for second place in the CACC at 7-0-1 (22 points). The Rams, ranked No. 10 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches national poll and first regionally, reached the 2024 NCAA East Region final.

Wilmington (7-2-6, 4-1-5 CACC) is currently in fourth place in the CACC with 17 points and is ranked eighth in the United Soccer Coaches regional poll. The Wildcats earned an at-large bid to last year's NCAA Tournament.

The NCAA will announce the 56-team field for the 2025 Division II Women's Soccer Championship on Monday, November 17. The East Region will receive automatic qualifiers from the CACC, East Coast Conference and Northeast 10 Conference and three at-large berths.
