NEWARK, Del. - - Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week and standout Wilmington University women's soccer freshman Eboni Bradshaw has been voted First Team All-East Region by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) on Tuesday afternoon.
In a vote of the region's college sports communicators, Eboni Bradshaw (Manchester, England) lands on the First Team All-East Region following her first year. She finished tied atop the CACC with 12 goals and fourth overall with nine assists, finishing second overall in the conference with 33 points this year. She ranks 16th in NCAA DII in recording 1.74 points per game.
In four post season games this year, Bradshaw collected two goals and two assists, scoring two game-winners in the CACC Tournament, including the championship game, and delivering an assist in the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament game. Bradshaw had a season high three goals and an assist for seven points against Lincoln (Pa.).
Saint Michael's College sophomore forward Scarlett Brookes has been named the D2 CCA East Region Player of the Year, capping a historic season for the Purple Knights in which she also earned Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year honors.
Brookes delivered an outstanding campaign, leading the NE10 in goals (13) and game-winning goals (6) while tying for the conference lead in points (31). The New Jersey native set a new program record for game-winning goals, and her 31 points rank as the fourth-highest single-season total in program history.
Bradshaw and all First Team honorees are now eligible to be voted D2CCA All-American.
