WILMINGTON, Del. - - The Wilmington University tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Indiana (Pa.) on Sunday at the Delcastle Tennis Center.
Indiana (Pa.) (11-6) won its sixth straight match, starting with sweeping all three doubles matches. The Hawks took all three doubles matches by a score of 6-2.
The Crimson Hawks took singles matches at No. 5, No. 3, and No. 6 to take the match, 4-0. Ming Fu Chen eliminated the sweep for the Wildcats with a win at No. 4 singles, winning, 6-3, 1-6, and 1-0 (10-6). Siana MacDonald gave the Wildcats their second point of the match at No. 2 singles, coming from behind to win, 1-6, 6-3 and 6-3.
The Wildcats take to their road for their final two games of the regular season next weekend. They head to Adelphi and New Haven next weekend, starting with Adelphi on Friday. The first serve in Garden City, New York, is set for 12:30 p.m.
