Ines Oliveira and Molly Carlberg Win in Doubles as Women’s Tennis Falls at Indiana, 7-0

INDIANA, Pa. - - The Wilmington University women's tennis team took its final road trip of the regular season, falling to No. 32 Indiana (Pa.), 7-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Maple Street Courts.

The Wildcats fall to 14-4 overall on the season with one game remaining in the regular season. They won the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament and earned the CACC's automatic Qualification into the NCAA Tournament which begins in May.

Ines Oliveira and Molly Carlberg got the Wildcats off to a good start with a doubles win at No. 1, 6-4, but the Crimson Hawks won the other two doubles matches to take the point.

Indiana (Pa.) carried the momentum from there, winning all six singles matches in straight sets. Molly Carlberg was the only Wildcat to win multiple games in each set, falling 6-2 and 6-2 at No. 3 singles.

The regular season finale is set for Wednesday afternoon as the Wildcats welcome Adelphi to Wilmington for a key East Region battle. The first serve is set for 2:00 p.m. at the Delcastle Tennis Center.
