Women’s Tennis Ranked No. 4 in First Ranked NCAA East Region Poll

NEWARK, Del. - - The Wilmington University women's tennis team is ranked No. 4 in the East Region as the NCAA announced its first ranked Regional Polls on Wednesday.

Wilmington (15-4, 8-2) won the 2025-26 CACC Championship tournament in October and has automatically qualified for the NCAA East Regional Championship. The Wildcats are 5-2 during the spring segment of their season.

Two teams from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference are in this week's poll, with Jefferson coming in at No. 3 and Wilmington at No. 4. The Wildcats lost to Queens, are 1-2 against Jefferson, and have a win over Adelphi this season.

The NCAA will announce the qualifiers for the 2026 Division II Women's Tennis Championship on Monday, May 4, at 8 p.m. on ncaa.com. The field will contain a maximum of 48 teams, including five from the East Region.
