NEWARK, Del. - - For the fifth consecutive spring, the Wilmington University women's tennis team heard its name called during the NCAA Division II Selection Show, earning the No. 4 seed and playing No. 5 Assumption in the First Round hosted by Queens College.
The Wildcats went 15-4 during the 2025-26 season, winning the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament for the fifth straight year to earn the conference's automatic qualification into the NCAA Tournament.
Assumption has qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. They went 11-7 this year, falling to Adelphi in the Northeast 10 Conference Championship match.
The First Round match is scheduled for Friday, May 8, at 1:00 p.m. on the campus of Queens College in Flushing, New York.
