Wildcats Lead with Six on 2026 CACC Women’s Tennis All-Academic Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - Fifteen student-athletes have qualified for the 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Tennis All-Academic Team, CACC Commissioner Dan Mara announced today.

To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must possess a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and be in his/her second year at his/her current institution. New for 2025-26, honorees must also be in the lineup for two-thirds of their team's days of competition.

The Wilmington University women's tennis team led the CACC with six student-athletes on the 2026 CACC Women's Tennis All-Academic Team. Senior Gloria Barcaro (3.85) is joined by sophomores Molly Carlberg (3.88), Ming-Fu Chen (3.82), Siana MacDonald (3.70), Ines Oliveira (3.90), and Lyza Sylka (3.98) on this year's academic team.

Conference champion Wilmington University placed six student-athletes on the CACC All-Academic Team to lead the conference. The complete set of winners can be viewed at the link above.

Julie Merlin of Post University owns a perfect 4.00 GPA. She leads a group of six student-athletes on the list who maintain an undergraduate GPA of 3.90 or higher.

The CACC All-Academic Team was instituted during the 2004-05 academic year.
