Redshirt Freshman Season (2014): Appeared in 30 matches and played in 103 sets in her first season of competition as a Wildcat – defensive specialist for the Wildcats along the back line – finished with 10 or more digs in four matches – tallied a season high 11 digs twice, first against Franklin Pierce on September 20 and then at Goldey-Beacom on October 30 – finished with a season high four service aces against USciences on September 24 – collected her first career kill against Chestnut Hill on September 10.

Freshman Season (2013): Medical Redshirt

High School: Four time letterwinner in volleyball at Dulaney High School under the head coach Chelsea Lyon-Mead – was named first team all-county, all-metro and Baltimore suns player of the week – helped her team to a 17-1 season.

Personal: Jessica Lynn Starr – daughter of Daniel and Cynthia Starr – has an older brother, Daniel, and an older sister, Nicole – majoring in early childhood education at Wilmington University has aspirations to be a special education teacher – from Reisterstown Md. – favorite athlete is Ray Lewis – favorite professional sports team is the Baltimore Ravens – the perfect meal would be a Maryland crab cake – the most played song on her iPod is “Lonely Eyes” by Chris Young – considers her parents her role models – also enjoys lifting and running.
