Karalyn Osborne Named to 2024 CSC Volleyball Academic All-District Team

NEWARK, Del. - - The College Sports Communicators announced its 2024 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team, and three Wilmington University student-athletes were recognized as some of the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Karalyn Osborne represented the Wilmington University volleyball team on the CSC Academic All-District Team. She is among 30 student-athletes from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference on the Academic All-District Team.

To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District nomination, the student-athlete must excel in both the field of play and the classroom. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, AND compete in 90 percent of the institution's games or start in at least 66 percent of the games, along with several other criteria.

Karalyn Osborne (Smyrna, Del.) played in all 31 matches for the Wildcats this fall, playing in all but one set. For the year, Osborne averaged 1.27 kills per set while adding 3.11 assists, 1.78 digs, and 0.64 blocks per set in her sophomore campaign. From the right side, she led the team with 351 assists on the year, finishing second with 201 digs and 72 blocks, and fourth with 144 kills. Osborne had a season high 14 kills against California (Pa.), 29 assists at Goldey-Beacom, 16 digs against Georgian Court, and 11 total blocks against Goldey-Beacom in the season finale. She is carrying a 3.71 grade point average while studying for her Elementary Education: K-6 degree.

The 2024 CSC Academic All-American Team will be announced on Tuesday, January 14.
