NEWARK, Del. - - The NCAA Division II Regional Advisory Committee announced its initial rankings for the 2025 Women's Volleyball Tournament and the Wilmington University volleyball team is officially under consideration.
The committee released its first set of regional rankings for all eight NCAA Division II regions on Wednesday. Teams under consideration in each region were announced in alphabetical order. Ten teams were listed as under consideration in the East Region for eight available berths: three automatic qualifiers and five at-large berths.
The Wildcats are 16-11 overall and 16-9 against regionally countable competition. They are joined by Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference members Post (20-3 overall) and Holy Family (16-8 overall). The NCAA will release its polls on November 12 and 19 with the final field being announced on November 24 at 7:30 p.m.
Wilmington is in first place in the CACC South Division with a 9-2 conference mark. They have four games remaining in the regular season, starting with Thursday night against Chestnut Hill. The first serve is set for 7:00 p.m. in the WU Athletics Complex.
