PLAYOFF PREVIEW: Volleyball Claims South’s No. 1 Seed in CACC Tournament; Hosts Dominican in First Round

NEWARK, Del. - - For the first time since the 2014 season, the Wilmington University volleyball team will be the South Division No. 1 seed for the upcoming Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament and will host the North Division's No. 4 seed Dominican on Tuesday in the First Round.

The Wildcats swept the Tigers in the two regular season matchups, earning the tiebreaker to be the No. 1 seed. Dominican in the North Division's No. 4 seed after going 5-9 in CACC play.

The Wildcats and Chargers squared off twice in the regular season, with the first matchup going down as a nonconference meeting. Dominican beat the Wildcats, 3-0, on the campus of St. Michael's on September 13, but then the Wildcats traveled to Orangeburg, New York, on October 4 and won their fourth five-setter of the season at that point.
