Wildcats Move Up to No. 5 in Latest USTFCCCA East Region Rankings

NEWARK, Del. - - Following its run to a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship on Sunday, the Wilmington University men's cross country team moved up a spot to No. 5 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) East Region Poll.

The Wildcats moved up one spot to No. 5 this week, continuing to rank as the top team from the CACC. Caldwell, who finished second at the CACC Championship on Sunday, also moved up a spot to No. 6 in this week's poll.

The top four teams remained the same in this Week 6 poll, led by Southern Connecticut State and followed by Roberts Wesleyan, Bentley, and Assumption. The Wildcats come in at No. 5 followed by Caldwell. New to this week's poll is Daemen at No. 7, followed by Franklin Pierce, Adelphi, and Southern New Hampshire.

The Wildcats are training for the NCAA Division II East Regional which will take place on Saturday, November 9, in Rochester, New York. The Wildcats will run on the Matt St. James XC Trails, a course they ran on September 28 at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational.
