Cross Country in Four Meets Prior to 2025 Postseason Run

NEWARK, Del. - - The Wilmington University cross country team has four regular-season meets to prepare for the postseason, as long-time head coach Keith Jones announced the 2025 schedule.

The path leads to the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships on Sunday, October 26, and the Wildcats will have four meets to tune and prep for another CACC title.

The 2025 season begins on Saturday, September 6, with the Philadelphia Cross Classic on a familiar course. They will get a feel for the CACC Championship course with a run on Belmont Plateau in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia to start the season.

The Wildcats will then run on another familiar course, taking part in the Delaware Invitational at White Clay Creek State Park on Friday, September 19.

A third meet caps September, as the Wildcats travel to Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, to run on the West Branch XC Course at the Lock Haven Invitational on September 27.

One final trip will aid in the Wildcats' preparations for the postseason, as they head to Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky. The famed Louisville Classic will take place on Saturday, October 4.

The CACC Championship is Sunday, October 26, where the men are the two-time defending champions and the women have been third in two of the past three seasons. The 2025 NCAA East Region Championships are at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds in New Hampshire, with the NCAA Division II National Championship being held on the Wayne E.
