KANSAS CITY, Mo. - - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the 2013-14 NABC Honors Court, recognizing those men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season. The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gift that these men possess off the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.

A record number of student-athletes from more than 335 colleges and universities were honored as close to 900 student-athletes met the standard for the award.

Wilmington's junior forward Ryan LeBoon was the lone representative for the Wildcats, matriculating a 3.3 cumulative grade point average following the 2013-14 academic school year.

In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. The qualifications are that the student-athlete must academically be a junior or senior and a varsity player; carry a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or high at the conclusion of the 2013-14 academic year; and students must have been enrolled at least one year at their current institution.

LeBoon was one of seven members from Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference teams that were named to the NABC Honors Court. Bloomfield and Goldey-Beacom had two student-athletes each while Caldwell, USciences, and Wilmington all had one student-athlete honored.
