2024 Season (Sophomore): Played in 19 games, starting six. She took nine shots, converting one into a goal on November 11 versus #6 Dominican in the CACC Tournament.
Prior to Wilmington: Attended Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania, her freshman year. Played in 17 games as a true freshman, starting 11, for a total of 878 minutes.
High School: Attended Ursuline Academy in Wilmington, Delaware. She spent all four years on the Varsity team for soccer, field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse, being named to Second Team All-State in 2021 for soccer, as well as First Team All-State in 2022 and 2023. She earned First Team All-Conference all four years for soccer, as well as for field hockey in 2022 and 2023, plus an Honorable Mention for basketball in 2022. Off the field, she was a part of the National Honor Society, the National Art Honor Society, and was on the Honor Roll.
Personal: Sophia Elizabeth Filipowski - daughter of Bridget and Matthew Filipowski. Has a younger sister - Olivia. Her mother, Bridgit, played two years of collegiate volleyball with Wilmington University. Majoring in Health Sciences at Wilmington University, with aspirations to become a nurse. From Hockessin, Delaware. Her favorite movie quote is “Just keep swimming” - prefers hot dogs and French fries to hamburgers and onion rings - likes dogs better than cats.
